There is nothing quite so dreadfully dull as propriety, wouldn’t you agree? I have always believed that the only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it—preferably al fresco, and ideally with a fiercely wicked husband and wife by my side. To be brutally honest—as one always should be when discussing matters of the flesh—I am myself part of a delightfully pragmatic arrangement. I remain legally tethered in matrimony, though my wife and I have been amicably parted in the bedchamber for well over a year. We maintain this bureaucratic fiction for one profoundly earnest reason: we share a daughter, and we are fiercely united in doing whatever it takes to give her the absolute best.
